16 ex-cops get life term for killing 42 people in UP

Odisha Government on Thursday announced an additional Rs 1.5 crore cash reward for champion sprinter Dutee Chand who bagged a silver in the 200 metre event at the Asian Games, The cash prize was announced after Chand bagged silver in womens 200m event with a timing of 23.20 seconds. CM relief fund receives 1000 crores for kerala floods till date

Kerala Chief Ministers Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) has received a total amount of Rs 1,027.78 crore as of August 31 Rs 145.88 crore has been received via electronic payments, Rs 46.04 crore via UPI/QR/VPA and Rs 835.86 crore via cash/cheque/RTGS. The electronic payments made through the website from August 14, reached Rs 134.29 crore, with Rs 44.98 lakh on August 31 alone. According to the website, the funds are released only through bank transfer and are operated by Manoj Joshi IAS, the Government Principal Secretary (Finance).

Rupee fall continues, hits 71 against US dollar for first time

Indian rupee on Friday weakened to a record low against the US dollar The currency opened at 71.00 a dollar, touching a high 70.89 and a low 71.00. The government will release gross domestic product (GDP) data for the June quarter today Indian rupee has fallen 3.3% in August so far, the worst among Asian currencies Asian currencies were trading lower.
